I feel very fortunate that the developing habitat that I maintain the trail in has met with the approval of gray fox. Although I capture them fairly regularly on video, I’ve never actually seen one when I’ve been out and about. I especially like these videos as they show two together, one in the snow, and a couple engaged in marking. One reason why I keep the location secret is I know people might hassle them, and I don’t want that. They were taken to the brink locally and any recovery they have is slow, and potentially fragile. So I’m happy they seem to like this spot.
